Welcome to Seventh Avenue Elementary School

Seventh Avenue Elementary School is home to approximately 130 students in Kindergarten through Sixth grade.  The school is one of the three elementary schools of the Haddon Heights School District.

School Community Service Presentation:

** Monday, June 3, 2019 ** We invite all of our parents and guardians to have lunch with their child on the school grounds (bring a blanket to sit on... if the weather cooperates).  We welcome Kindergarten students and parents to participate in this event. Parents may purchase lunch from an outside venue for themselves and their child and bring it to school.   Your child can purchase the school lunch if needed.  Parents/guardians will not be able to purchase a school lunch.  Here are the dates and times:

12:00-12:25 - Students at recess

12:15-12:30 - Parents arrive

12:30-12:55 - Parent and student lunch (student may buy/bring lunch and parents bring lunch)

1:00 - Presentation of the community service project (approximately 20 minutes)

Hello Parents and Guardians,
April showers are gone and the May flowers are here.  The time is going to fly by as we near the end of the school year.  During Spring Break, our maintenance team at Atlantic Avenue School installed the security vestibule.  We also had red emergency lights installed at Seventh and Atlantic Avenue Schools to alert visitors and traveling staff members that we are in a drill or an emergency situation and not to enter the building.   A new sensory path was installed at Atlantic Avenue School for the students to use when needed.  In the near future, Seventh and Atlantic Avenue Schools will have a sensory library available for the staff to use as needed for their students.
The Fifth and Sixth grade events that took place in April were very successful and beneficial to the students. The administrators and guidance counselors from all of the elementary schools and sending district schools worked hard to make these events a success. The events were organized to help with the transition to the Jr. High School and High School. It is the beginning stages to help foster positive relationships and to promote our school district.
Teacher Appreciation week is May 6th through May 10th.  This is a great time to let the teachers know how much you appreciate their time and efforts they put into the successes of your students.
We will begin our NJSLA assessments in the coming weeks.  The Third and Fourth graders will take their assessment from May 6th through May 10th.  The Fifth and Sixth graders will take their assessments from May 13th through May 17th.  The Fifth graders only, will take the NJSLA Science assessment on May 30th and 31st.  As usual, the students will be well prepared for the assessments and will do their best. Our staff has worked extremely hard throughout the school year to prepare the students for success.
The Haddon Heights Elementary students will be performing the National Anthem at the Phillies game on May 14th. Good luck to all of our choir students. Our annual Sixth grade trip to Camp Ockanickon will take place on May 28th.  Have a great Month of May. The hot days of June are coming.
