Welcome to Seventh Avenue Elementary School

Seventh Avenue Elementary School is home to approximately 130 students in Kindergarten through Sixth grade.  The school is one of the three elementary schools of the Haddon Heights School District.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL, MR. ORMSBY:

Spring has sprung and April is here.  This school year is flying by, but we still have plenty to accomplish.  The students are gearing up and preparing for the NJSLA assessment and are continuing to make strides in their academic progress. I am very proud of them for all of their individual successes.
The HHPTG sponsored a fabulous assembly on "Recycled Instruments".  The students and staff enjoyed that presentation and the presenter kept the students engaged.  The HHPTG sponsored the "Art Goes To School" program and will be visiting each classroom.  The sixth grade at Seventh Avenue School and the second grade at Atlantic Avenue School were our March Madness winners!!!  They will enjoy a class BBQ.  Mr. Sassano, Mr. Baals, Ms. Gorczynski and myself organized an event for the fifth graders to assist with the transition to the Jr. High School which takes place on April 10th.  The Administration from the four sending districts, Mr. Sassano, Mr. Baals, Ms. Gorczynski and myself also organized an event for the sixth graders to assist with the transition to the High School that will take place on April 30th.
Spring Break is from April 19th to April 28th.  During Spring Break, there will be some construction going on at the schools for new school security measures.  Emails will be sent out for the new entrance procedures when those projects are completed fully.
May will be here soon.  Make sure to check back to read about the items taking place in May.

Sincerely,
Mr. Ormsby, Principal
